Diveworks Charters inshore fishing trips are very popular and 18 -20 knot cruise speed allows us to cover many places in a day.
We offer three types of Inshore fishing options
(1) Half day inshore (4 hours), either as a Casual or Block booked option (These trips are in the vacinity of Whale Island and include a short Eco Tour of the Island.
(2) Full day inshore (8 Hours), either as a Casual or Block booked option (These trips are in the vacinity of Whale and the Rurima Islands and include a short Eco Tour of the Islands.
(3) Full day Inshore Extended (8 Hours). Either as a Casual or Block booked option. These trips venture much further along the Coast and can include Matata, The North West Reef or the Opotiki Mussel Bouys. Fishing is usually much better due to distance from more commonly fished areas.
Usual catches - Snapper - Kingfish - Kahawai - Terakihi - Gurnard - Maomao - John Dory - Porae
Trips run: are half day, full day, evening.
Trip times: Full day trips normally 0800 to 4.00 pm
4 Hour trips, 0800-1200. 1300-1700. 1730- 2130. other times to suit
Fish caught, All fish caught go into a combined pool and are shared evenly amongst all fare paying anglers on our return, however special fish or trophy fish are dealt with according to the wishes of the captor.
Casual trip prices include, Rod, Bait, Tackle, fish filletted and bagged.
Block booked boat prices are for boat only. All top quality tackle, fish filletted and bagged option available @ $20 p.p. full day.
Passenger numbers
Up to 15 (Max 10 adults plus 5 Children) however we recommend max 9 for comfortable block bookings.
